To get in, I just described who I wasMar 21 2011PreMed and Medical
To get in, I just described who I was and what i did. I was very motivated in highschool and had an exceptionally high GPA and was very involved in sports and music and honor societies so i could've gotten into anywhere.. Just try and make yourself seem really good. You need atleast a 3.5 in highschool or else you probably wont get in. As someone who was accepted last year (2010), I can tell you that only the top 60 kids in my class of 300 got into Umass, (meaning the top 60 all had GPA's of about 3.5) then rest were waitlisted or declined.

UMass is filled with douche bags that think ballotMar 15 2011Accounting
UMass is filled with douche bags that think ballot stuffing on meaningless internet polls makes their pitiful "university" better than the third rate (at best) community college that it is.
ACT: 20 SAT: 920 Male
CRAZY IDIOT on StudentReviews bumping UMass-Amherst to the topMar 14 2011Engineering Department
CRAZY IDIOT on StudentReviews bumping UMass-Amherst to the top of every ranking. THIS SCHOOL IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ACT: 19 SAT: 920 Female
I would write a really good essay and studyFeb 07 2011Psychology
I would write a really good essay and study hard for the SAT's. Having extra curriculars will also show that you can contribute to the community in more ways than just academics. Umass isn't an ivy league school, but it is still pretty competitive getting in, and it shouldn't be put on everyone's "safety" list.
SAT: 1670 Female
